RuPay credit cards on UPI

You may only make purchases with a RuPay credit card using UPI. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has authorized the auto-pay choice for recurring transactions up to Rs 15,000 without the extra step of identification. Thus, a client may utilize this new feature to pay their power bills, OTT bills, or other regular merchant payments.

RuPay credit cards can now be linked to the unified payments interface (UPI) Point-of-sale (POS) terminal is no longer needed to use a credit card in a shop. With the new RuPay credit card on UPI feature, one can scan QR codes at merchant outlets and pay with the credit card via the UPI app.

Who can use RuPay credit cards on UPI?

Currently, only certain bank clients may use the BHIM app's RuPay credit card on the UPI function. According to a recent circular issued by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), "customers of Punjab National Bank, Union Bank of India, and Indian Bank would be the first to be able to utilize RuPay Credit Card on UPI with BHIM App."

RuPay credit card linkage to UPI

RuPay credit cards can be linked to UPI in a manner somewhat dissimilar to that by which a user links a savings bank account or debit card.

Payments that cannot be made using RuPay credit cards on UPI

Sending funds to another UPI account. For instance, you can't use a RuPay credit card for UPI money transfers to friends or relatives who have set up their UPI handles as people. One cannot utilize a RuPay credit card-UPI handle to remit funds to another credit card-UPI handle. P2PM money transfers (NPCI defines P2PM merchants as those that anticipate monthly inward UPI transactions of Rs 50,000 or less).
